New Year, New Plans, New Cast Ons

So this list of nine new projects took me a lot longer to put together than I thought it would. It is more of a dream list because lets face it, there is very little knitting time in my life at the moment and I am not too sure if that will change. There is also a huge pile of wips that have to be finished up but more on that in another post.

Stop by the blog and see what I have been dreaming about

** New Pattern Alert ** Journey Socks
Journey Socks is now live, just in time for some post-holiday selfish knitting. These softly textured socks pairs soft winding lace, eyelets, and purl ridges to give you a gentle feminine sock perfect for the skein you've been hording.  I hope you'll enjoy both knitting and wearing these beautiful as much as I do.

    Mrs. Claus Boxy Hat Kit!

Guys look what I made! I'm so happy with the way Mila's Mrs. Claus Boxy Hat turned out!

To be honest, this wasn't the plan.  Originally the plan was these very beautiful colour work hats that both girls were going to get with cardigans this Christmas.  It turns out that colour work raises my blood pressure and triples the contents of my swear jar.  I really need to embrace the fact that, for right now, two handed knitting sits just outside of my patience threshold.  After realizing I had switched pattern rows halfway through a round, I had to park that project for a moment when I have less going on.  Like in February... 2000 never.

Honestly I'm grateful because this was exactly what I needed.  Brainless knitting that makes me feel like I've actually accomplished something at the end of the day.  Even if the Christmas cardigans turn out to be more of a New Years cardigans at least they'll have something adorable to open Christmas morning.
